It stays on your machine.
better-web is a browser extension. It restyles pages you already use and remembers your switches in Chrome. There is no account to create, and the extension does not include third-party analytics.
It uses the session you already have on a site when a feature needs it — for example, to list your scheduled posts on X. That traffic goes to the site itself.
Grokipedia is contacted only to check whether a Wikipedia article also exists there. If it does not, the original link is left alone. wikipedia.org is never rewritten.
AI scores run on your device with Chrome’s Gemini Nano. A post is rated locally. This extension does not send post text to a server.
Cookie banners are hidden in the page. The extension does not click Accept or Reject, and it leaves sign-in dialogs, newsletters, and cookie-policy links in place.
Force paste writes text you already copied into a field on the page you are viewing. It does not read other pages or send that text anywhere.
